FAQs:

How does the Modular series differ from the Tooth Wear Masterclass?

The Tooth Wear Roadmap modular series offers greater flexibility for dentists who prefer to stage their learning and spread their investment over time. Each module focuses on a specific clinical area, allowing you to progressively build your knowledge and skills.

In contrast, the weeklong Tooth Wear Masterclass is an intensive, hands-on programme designed for those seeking a cohesive, start-to-finish experience. You'll work through every phase of patient care on customised models, treating an actual patient with tooth wear. Every step — diagnosis, special tests, documentation, digital planning, records, mockups, treatment and finishing—within one highly integrated week. The continuity and structure of this format make it ideal for clinicians wanting to deepen their understanding and confidence with a full case journey. A wear case has been reproduced with customised Oratomic 4D models, offering real life treatment experience and allowing mockups, equilibration, different prep designs and full arch rehabilitation.

Is there hands-on training in the modular series?

Each module will include some hands-on elements. However, the experience is more segmented compared to the Tooth Wear Masterclass, where you’ll follow a complete workflow using customised Oratomic4D models and a wide range of tools unique to our Shepperson Education facility in New Zealand. The Masterclass offers a fully integrated, start-to-finish clinical experience that’s hard to replicate in shorter modules.

Dr Shepperson has developed a large number of customised resources that she will share in both the Masterclass and Modular programmes.

I’ve already done Dr Shepperson's Tooth Wear course—will the 2-day modular course still be helpful?

At Shepperson Education, we believe learning is continuous and evolving. While there may be some overlap in foundational concepts, the modular series offers fresh perspectives, updated content, and a focused deep dive into specific clinical areas. We’re constantly refining our material to reflect the latest research, clinical techniques, and digital technologies.

If you're unsure which modules would be most beneficial based on your previous training, feel free to get in touch with our team—we’d be delighted to guide you.

Will there be more dates released for the modules? Will certain modules be repeated?

Yes, we may revisit popular modules and release additional dates based on demand. If you're interested in a module but can't make the listed dates, please let us know—we take your interest and feedback seriously when planning future course schedules. Your input helps shape what we offer next!

Can I do the modular courses first, then join the Masterclass later?

Absolutely. Dentists are welcome to start with any of the modular series to build a foundation and then join the Masterclass to consolidate and apply their learning in a full-case format. The modular pathway is a great way to ease into the content, especially if you want to manage your time or budget across the year.  Ease into the depth and detail in an in-person course first, then join the Masterclass.

Do I have to complete all five modules in the series?

You are not required to complete all five modules. You can choose the ones most relevant to your learning goals or areas of interest. However, Module 1 – Occlusion and Vertical Dimension is a highly recommended prerequisite as it lays the foundation for the clinical concepts covered in the remaining modules.

Do I need to complete the modules in a specific order?

Not necessarily. The modules are designed to be flexible and can be taken individually. That said, starting with Module 1 will give you a solid understanding of occlusion, which underpins much of the treatment planning and restorative techniques explored in the later modules.

Do I have to be currently treating tooth wear patients to benefit from the course?

Not at all. While this is a tooth wear-focused course, the principles, techniques, and workflows taught throughout the modules are broadly applicable across many areas of dentistry. From simple restorative to complex aesthetic cases and implant dentistry —what you learn can enhance your approach to a wide range of treatments, not just tooth wear.

Will I be confident in treating tooth wear and occlusal problems after this course?

Confidence comes with practice—and we’ve designed our courses to give you the tools, systems, and clinical frameworks to build that confidence over time. Dentists who engage fully and apply what they’ve learned often report significant growth in their ability to plan and treat complex cases. These modules aren't a one-off experience—it’s a structured, progressive learning journey. Each module (or the Masterclass) builds layers of knowledge and skill, helping you move from uncertainty to clarity in managing tooth wear and occlusal issues.

Will you be running these modules in alternative cities in Australia?

Our courses will commence in Sydney and be extended to other centres by demand. If you think that you have a group of local dentists who would be interested in doing one or more of the modules, please contact us to discuss opportunities.

Are alternative payment plans available?

We understand that individual circumstances may vary; please contact Sharon at admin@andreashepperson.com to discuss this further.
